Interiors, architecture and landscape as one connected experience
Whether you are starting from the ground up or looking for support at a specific stage, Nimmo offers flexible design services tailored to your project.
We design thoughtful, tailored interiors that enhance daily life, delivered through a process that is both joyous and highly organised. Rather than applying a fixed aesthetic, we create spaces that respond to the unique needs and context of each project — celebrating what is already there while integrating modern functionality.
01
Architectural concept design
Shaping the envelope, the light and the way a building meets its site.
We begin with the site: its orientation, its outlook, its constraints and the daily rhythms it will hold. Concept design tests how volume, circulation and natural light can work together before a single finish is chosen.
Whether you are starting from the ground up or seeking support at a specific stage, we shape a brief that balances ambition with what is genuinely buildable.
Site and brief analysis
Orientation, outlook, existing fabric and the way you actually live.
Spatial planning
Volume, circulation and connection between indoors and out.
Concept documentation
Plans, sections and reference imagery that make the idea legible.

02
Interior design, materials and joinery
The surfaces, details and fittings that decide how a room feels to live in.
Interiors is where a project becomes tactile. We select materials and finishes for how they age, how they feel underhand and how they sit against the light at different hours of the day.
Custom joinery resolves the practical demands of a household without cluttering the space — storage, thresholds and transitions detailed to the millimetre.
Materials and finishes
Palettes chosen for longevity, texture and how they weather.
Joinery and detailing
Bespoke cabinetry, thresholds and built-in elements, fully detailed.
Fixtures and fittings
Lighting, tapware and hardware specified as one coherent family.

03
Landscape integration
Treating the garden, the threshold and the view as part of the plan.
Landscape is not what happens after the building is finished. We consider planting, paving and outlook alongside the floor plan so that every room has something worth looking at.
This is the specialisation the studio is building its reputation on: interiors, architecture and landscape resolved as one connected experience.
Indoor–outdoor thresholds
Openings, levels and screening that make the garden usable.
Planting strategy
Species and structure suited to the site's aspect and climate.
Outlook and privacy
Framing what should be seen, softening what should not.

04
Documentation, coordination and styling
Carrying the design through construction and into the finished room.
Documentation turns intent into instructions a builder can price and follow. We coordinate with consultants and trades through construction so decisions made early survive the build.
Styling is the final layer — furniture, textiles and objects placed so the space feels lived-in from the first day rather than staged for a photograph.
Documentation
Drawings and schedules that leave nothing open to interpretation.
Build coordination
Consultant and trade liaison, site reviews, decisions resolved in time.
Styling
Furniture, textiles and objects that finish the room honestly.

Not sure which service you need?
Most projects start somewhere in between. Tell us about your site and your brief, and we will recommend the stages that make sense — and the ones you can skip.
